So I'm happy to find a drink I love here. The BURNOUT! I thought it was a cold drink but it's actually a hot one. The burst of cozy flavors that come from this drink is unique. No strong bitter coffee in this one. It's smooth and creamy. The rim on the cup (black volcanic salt and ginger) amplifies the yummy flavors perfectly! The baristas are pretty quick too. So the wait isn't too long. The cherry on top is the esthetics of this cafe. It's really such a beautiful spot.

FOOD: The açaí bowls are amazing!! The iced lattes for the large ones are so close in price to the regular size, it makes it worth it to just get the big one. The lattes are generally pretty good, though there could be more flavor variety. I'm not sure if they have a sugar free syrup option, but if so, that would be awesome and totally add to their selection. The bagels are good as well, my husband loves that they offer garlic cream cheese. SERVICE: I've had not great service here honestly, but the interactions here are pretty minimal with staff so I don't seem to mind. One time, my açaí bowl was ready but my husbands bagel was not ready yet and even though my bowl was out to be picked up, the lady at the counter said I shouldn't take it until all items were available. But it took at least 10 more minutes for my husbands bagel to be finished. This has happened every time we have gone there, the smoothie bowl is done nearly 10 minutes before his bagel is done. I would personally recommend ordering them in separate transactions so that they don't let your smoothie bowl begin to melt while waiting for your bagel. However, I went this weekend and even though it was 10 extra minutes for his bagel, they let me take my bowl this time to eat while we waited. AMBIANCE: The seating here is AWESOME! So much seating, it's great to know you'll always find a spot.

Post-spin and dripping in sweat, I waddled over to Caje Ventura for a much-needed holiday pick-me-up, because what's a workout without immediately neutralizing it with a beverage? First of all, shoutout to them for being open on holiday eve for all of us who still have errands to run but also need caffeine to function. And double shoutout for the short hours--because the real MVPs deserve time off, too. I got myself an iced matcha latte. Sweet, but not "oops, I just drank cake batter" sweet. And not a clump of matcha in sight, which, let's be honest, is a small holiday miracle in itself. Pro tip: hydrate first--matcha doesn't count as water. :P

This place is amazing, everything we tried was so good and the restaurant itself is very cute. I saw Caje on social media and it was more than just "instagrammable" food but actually tasted great. Not sure what it was about the açaí bowl but it was one of the best I've had. Their specialty drinks are definitely creative and a must try. Came here around 9:30 in the morning on a Saturday and there was plenty of seating and wasn't too busy. Overall I look forward to coming back and trying more of their drink and food options

OMG- this is the cutest coffee shop I've ever been to! I already love Caje but this location is so beautiful! It's like a house with a fire place and a huge wrap around porch with more outdoor seating with fire pits. A perfect place to remote work from with the best coffee in California! I always order the matcha with vanilla, caramel and the best tasting house made almond milk! This is the #1 best coffee and matcha spot in California. All of their locations have amazing baristas across the board. The employees are always sweet and welcoming. I highly recommend going to Caje!

CAJÉ Coffee Roasters' new Ventura location is here and it is everything! Having long admired their Santa Barbara spots, I was thrilled to see them make their way down the coast -- and they absolutely delivered. The space is stunning, with an airy, coastal charm and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It's perfect for meeting friends, tackling some work, or grabbing a quick caffeine fix before exploring downtown. CAJÉ takes coffee to the next level with their signature, cocktail-inspired creations that are a masterpiece to look at. The staff is also incredibly friendly and welcoming. I've tried three of their signature drinks so far: Bella Rose Matcha: Elegant and floral, though the matcha flavor didn't stand out as much as I hoped, especially for the price. I actually prefer their simple iced matcha drink. (7/10) Maui Brad: I was excited about this one, as I usually LOVE banana-inspired drinks, but it leaned sour, and the flavors didn't quite blend for me. (6/10) The Burnout: The standout! A smoky bourbon-pecan-infused drink that's bold, sweet, and completely addictive. Served warm. I could easily drink 10 of these and will def be back exclusively for them! (11/10) I also tried The Coast Toast, topped with almond butter, bananas, blackberries honey, chia seeds and hemp seeds. It was beautifully presented and paired well with The Burnout. For anyone who appreciates a creative coffee experience and a cool, elevated presentation, CAJÉ is hands down the best coffee shop in Ventura!

Caje is my fave cafe in Ventura! I am new to the area & I am so happy I found this gem. It is very cute & aesthetic with a nicely curated menu. I like the matcha & almond milk chai. Not the biggest fan of the rosemary thai, but that's only bc I don't like herbal drinks very much. But this place is so so adorable, perfect for a date or even a nice study spot. It is really cool bc in the night it turn into a bar. Overall love this place! Next time I stop by I'm gonna try an Acai bowl!

I came here with a friend around noon on a Sunday. I got the market bagel sandwich with the cheese bagel and an iced vanilla late in my own personal mug. I loved the little details like the Hawaii newspaper magazine that the bagel is on. Honestly, it was busy I really didn't think we were going to find a seat but we did on beautiful rattan seats. I am grateful we got outside seating to be hear one another. Customers order at the counter and then the staff members call out your name. The water is self served outside on the patio.

It's really hard to pick a favorite coffee shop Downtown, but this is hands down one of the best. Whether you're looking for a good cup of coffee, a fancy latte or a bite to eat, you'll find it all at Caje. THE VIBES ARE A 10. If I could live inside, I would. Everyone that works there has always been so kind, even when they're crazy busy. They have a ton of seating outside as well :) I've never been disappointed. The Maui Brad is my favorite specialty drink, but their regular iced vanilla oat latte is also a 10.
